I have my settings these types of that my emails usually do not get marked read immediately after clicking on them/viewing them during the reading pane. I favor they continue to be undread right until I click that I've read it or reply to it. The preceding Edition of Outlook marked an email as "read" if I replied to it, but that's now not occurring
